Unit Converter – Overview

The Nautical Solver Unit Converter is a comprehensive general-purpose tool designed to convert values between a wide range of engineering, scientific, and everyday units. It supports multiple physical quantities commonly used in naval architecture, marine engineering, technical calculations, and general problem solving.

The calculator is organized into clearly separated categories, allowing precise and transparent unit conversion without assumptions or hidden scaling factors.

Supported Unit Categories
  • Length, area, and volume
  • Mass and density
  • Time, speed, and acceleration
  • Force and pressure
  • Energy and power
  • Temperature and angle
  • Fuel consumption and mass/volume flow rates
  • Batch unit conversion using free-form input lines
Fuel & Flow Conversions

The Fuel & Flow section allows conversion between mass flow and volumetric flow units commonly used in marine operations. When converting between mass- based and volume-based flow rates, an optional density input can be provided to ensure accurate results.

Batch Conversion Mode

The batch mode enables multiple unit conversions to be processed at once. Each conversion is entered on a separate line using a simple value – from unit – to unit format, making it suitable for quick checks, data preparation, and report support.

Notes & Limitations
  • All conversions are based on standard reference values
  • Displayed results are rounded for readability
  • Temperature conversions follow exact physical definitions
  • Fuel and flow conversions require density when switching between mass and volume
  • Results should be independently verified for contractual or regulatory use
